Actress Rebel Wilson has revealed she has faced “pushback” from her team when she revealed she lost three stone.
The Pitch Perfect star told W magazine that it was made worse because she had told them how much weight she was losing during a recent visit to a gym.
“I was told ‘We’ve already lost a lot, we don’t need to get anymore out of you’. That was frustrating,” Wilson said.
The comedian has also spoken of the difficulty of ‘acting fat’.
The actress explained that when she realised she was still piling on the pounds in Hollywood, she started checking the internet for recipes and websites that let you slimmer down your portion sizes.
When it came to food, the 38-year-old said she “is really into the detox and a cleanse”.
Her trainer Jane Park has also weighed in on the matter, telling Women’s Health that Wilson was just not eating enough.
The fitness professional said: “Eating too much sugar is addictive, it’s got a drug side to it – it’s your brain’s reward system wired up to have more of it.”
A dish of gravy back home in Australia did the trick, she added, because in the country it contains egg yolks.

The star said her stint in the gym – which involved working out for two hours a day – had made her feel much more positive about herself.
The actress is currently touring Australia, doing stand-up comedy shows, presenting and filming.
On a recent appearance on Channel Seven’s Sunrise show, Wilson revealed she was wearing a size 10 swimsuit.
“I’m proud of my body, I’m proud of where I’ve come from,” she said.
Earlier this month, she revealed that she lost six stone in a week when she had a nurse cut out three millilitres of morphine from her stomach.
The actress was told to have the operation after complaining that losing weight was making her suffer stomach cramps.

Wilson is best known for Pitch Perfect, playing Fat Amy in the 2012 film series which has featured cast members like Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson.
She is also a firm favourite on the Australian stage, having been nominated for a Tony award for her performance in the 2012 Broadway production of Shuffle Along.
Two years later, Wilson picked up another Tony nomination for her role in the 2014 Broadway production of Legally Blonde.
Most recently, she appeared in the Australian series How to Catch a Monster.
The 38-year-old will next be seen in the box office hit Baby Driver, which sees Wilson play the girlfriend of a stunt driver who’s driven her around in his car.
She told Sunrise that she was excited about the movie’s success, explaining: “When I go home to Australia, whenever it comes out in cinemas, I have to close my eyes and think, this is it.”
The film, which co-stars Ansel Elgort, Lily James and Kevin Spacey, is due to open in the UK and USA in August.
On the wedding front, Wilson revealed that her two dogs – George and Delilah – were the love of her life.
“They’ve been my everything,” she said.
